Tikinaagan

A tikinaagan was usually made collectively, as men crafted the wood and women crafted the beaded coverings with soft and absorbent moss inserts. In addition to being practical, tikinaagan are also powerful metaphors for the significance of children and their care in Anishinaabe families.
